Ok, I work a minimum wage job that took me months to find. Progressive, which has been a good insurance agency, charges me about $120 a month to insure an old rustbucket 1977 Ford. Which wasn't bad until I had my daughter. The cost of medical for her, gassing up my truck, rent, utilities, etc. AS far as I'm concerned insurance is the first thing to go. F*** it, I'm not gonna say I'll never get into an accident but the likely hood of it being my fault is very very very low. Pretty much an act of God kind of thing. I'm looking for a cheaper way to stay legal but before anybody offers suggestions keep this in mind, I live in the middle of nowhere. Recently, our car got pummeled by a hailstorm. We went to a bodyshop prior to the meeting with the damage adjuster (which is today), and was told by the tech that our car would require both conventional and PDR repair. However, the estimate report was written up today for PDR repair only. Does that mean I'm limiting to PDR repair only? In the UK we have a little piece of legislation under the European Convention on Human Rights, which gives us freedom from discrimination. I know that a lot of young drivers are inexperienced and more eager on the roads, but what about the careful ones? Is it not a form of stereotypical discrimination for car insurance companies to charge more for younger drivers, and older ones for that matter?

I am about to purchase a 1997 Volvo 850R sedan from a private individual. I am in Indiana. I have never had my own car insurance, always being on my mom's plan while in high school and college. Now that I have to set up my own plan, I have received quotes from Progressive, Esurance, Nationwide, and a few others, and everything looks and sounds pretty much the same to me. How can the government make you legally buy car insurance?

it just seems messed up that the government requires car insurance. i understand why it's a good thing to have but because it is legally required it's a business where the customer is the b/itch and has to take the prices companies put out and have to deal with their excuses and garbage policies because the government makes you.

How do I cancel Primerica life insurance policy?

I was briefly a Primerica rep about 2 years ago. While I was a rep, I purchased a Primerica Life Insurance policy at their suggestion. About 6 months later I quit. I still have the policy. Now it seems like a complete waste of money. It is $37 per month, and I really have no need for life insurance. I am a bachelor, and nobody depends on my income. I called the Primerica number, and the recording said to cancel a policy, send them a letter in the mail requesting cancellation with the policy number. That seems awfully vague. Is there anything else I need to put on the letter? Do I need to send the letter certified mail so they can't say, We never received it, and keep charging me every month? Dumb questions. Sorry.

Husband won't get life insurance?

We just married a few months ago. He bought a house a month before we married through VA loan. We are almost 40, and I believe we need life insurance on each other to cover house, cars, debts, ect.... I have enough on me to cover for my part and some. My husband told me that my name if not on the house so I have not financial bearing. If he dies, I can simply walk out the house and downgrade to a trailer, apartment, rent home, cheper home, whatever.... or I can sell his things to help pay the note... OUr house isn't new and very simple!! regardless, I think this is rude. you don't leave your widowed spouse with all that baggage. He makes plenty that he could afford a policy. I am asking him to cover most of the house, his vehicle, and personal debt... which he has a bunch from before our marriage. Am I being hard on him? He isn;t willing to share checking account or save together. He doesnt want me minding his finaces- none of my business is what he tells me pretty much.
